Yang Wang  > Landscapes > Banff Again 2004 > Scenery
In May 2004 I want to Banff again to attend a workshop on aperiodic orders and quasicrystals. Upgraded from my point and shoot Canon Powershot G1 point-and-shoot camera to the digital SLR Canon EOS 10D, I was attracted to the workshop as much for its stimulating mathematics as the opportunity to take a few more pictures. Among the participants were Bob Moody and Victor Sirvent, both very accomplished photographers and very good friends of mine. The three of us made several trips to near by locations. But unlike the first time, this trip was much shorter and with the workshop from 9 to 5, it was hard to find time to do a lot of photography. Nevertheless, I did have some photos to show you.

Yang Wang > Mt. Rundle. This is one of the best known peaks in Banff, and one of my favorite. We went there twice, each time the weather was subpar.

Yang Wang > Lake Moraine. I always liked this place. But the day we were there the weather was terrible. A thick overcast and heavy fog rendered the beautiful peaks surrounding the lake invisible. So we had to settle on these not-so-great photos.
